What We Do

Focus Areas

We're not a program. We're a family that keeps the door open. The work tends to fall into four shapes — and on any given week it might look like all four at once.

Pillars of impact

Three essential areas of help.

Food Assistance

  • Grocery runs
  • Gift cards & special deliveries

Housing Support

  • Timely rent assistance
  • Deposits & moving help
  • Essential household items

Education

  • School tuition
  • Partial or full scholarships
  • Academic emergencies

📌 Age is not a requirement.

📌 Most importantly: the need must be approved by the foundation.

Reach

Where we serve.

United States — first phase.

International — in the near future.

Focus Areas

Supporting Families

When a family hits a hard month — lost shifts, a hospital bill, a death in the family — we step in quietly. That can mean covering rent before the late notice, restocking groceries, paying for a kid's school clothes, or just sending arroz con pollo over so no one has to think about dinner. No applications. No waiting list. We move when the need is real.

NYC Community

Our home is the boroughs. We focus on the blocks we've prayed and walked and shopped on for decades — partnering with the bodega owner, the Sunday school teacher, the building super who knows who's struggling before anyone else does. The foundation is rooted on purpose: we want to be the neighbor people can actually call.

Dominican Heritage

Faith is felt as much in the flavor of the food and the cadence of Spanish at the table as in anything else. We honor that — through shared meals, holiday gatherings, helping recently arrived families find footing, and making sure the second and third generations stay connected to where their grandmothers came from.

Faith-Rooted Care

We give because we have been given to. That's the whole engine. We don't preach to anyone we serve — there's no membership, no sign-up, no asking what church you belong to. Faith shows up as posture: showing up, showing up again, and treating every person across the table like family.

Many Mamá Olga Foundation programs, campaigns, workshops, and service opportunities are still being prepared, tested, or organized. Submitting an interest form does not guarantee assistance, registration, toys, food support, workshop space, volunteer placement, mission trip participation, or any specific service. Support and participation depend on available funding, supplies, volunteers, approval, eligibility, space, schedule, and capacity.

If any of this sounds like the kind of work you'd want to walk alongside, we'd love to meet you.
